The centerpiece of Santa Rosa Lake State Park is a large reservoir on the plains of eastern New Mexico.
The park offers a variety of water recreation. Anglers are known to catch bass, catfish and walleye. Corps of Engineers visitor center has displays about area history, creation of the dam and natural history.
The nearby town of Santa Rosa is famous for its natural sinkhole lakes, where divers from around the country come to learn scuba skills. . |
